Black Masala is a vibrant and eclectic band known for its dynamic fusion of world music genres. Hailing from Washington, D.C., this group skillfully blends elements of Balkan brass, funk, rock, and even a touch of punk, creating a sound that defies easy categorization. Their high-energy performances are characterized by a lively brass section, infectious rhythms, and a diverse array of instruments, including saxophones, trombones, and sousaphones. With influences ranging from Eastern European folk traditions to New Orleans jazz, Black Masala delivers a musical experience that is as diverse as it is engaging.
